Vacancy Details Employer: Durban University of Technology Senior Lecturer and Lecturer Positions REF (M, M, M, & ) DEPARTMENT OF MARKETING AND RETAIL MANAGEMENT : DURBAN SENIOR LECTURER Minimum Academic requirements PhD / D-Tech and undergraduate study in Marketing / Retail At least 5 years lecturing experience in Marketing / Retail, at University level A proven track record of research with having produced / published a research output in the preceding three years Active participation in professional, industry and or community activities All of the above have to be consistent with the University's Staff Promotions Policy LECTURER Minimum Academic requirements Master's degree and undergraduate study in Marketing / Retail At least 3 years teaching experience in Marketing / Retail at University level Teaching and record of research publications in accredited journals would be a strong recommendation Preference will be given to applicants who are registered for a PhD ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Commercial or industrial related experience Demonstrate innovative thinking towards teaching and learning skills. Conduct teaching, learning and assessment using a blended mode. SUMMARY OF DUTIES Take responsibility for the teaching, learning and assessing of modules offered, at all levels associated with the programmes in the Department Supervise and co-supervise postgraduate students Make major contributions to the academic quality by providing leadership of all aspects of offerings associated with Marketing / Retail in the Department Lead, develop, design and review all learning content associated with Marketing / Retailing. Publish in reputable, DHET accredited journals.
