Our mission is to help growers achieve more with less by optimizing water and resource use for better yields and environmental stewardship.Location: Cape TownMain ResponsibilitiesPerform production line setups and changeoversExecute tool changes and configure extrusion equipmentSet up auxiliary equipment (feeders, driller units, coilers)Optimize machine performance to meet OEE targets (Performance, Availability, Scrap)Ensure production lines meet technical and output requirementsInput order and parameter specifications into MESAssist with production planning and scheduling in SAPConduct fault finding and root cause analysisRespond to breakdowns and support repairs to reduce downtimeEnsure compliance with ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001) and maintain HSE protocolsSupport Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projectsManage wear parts replacement and stock control (rollers, rings, tools)Participate in equipment installations and technical upgradesProvide after-hours standby support for production needsTrain Production Supervisors on technical and operational aspectsAdditional RequirementsStrong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently and under pressurePractical, hands-on, and proactive approachLogical problem-solving ability with attention to detailGood verbal and written communication, computer literacy, and numeracy skillsValid driver's license and reliable transportFlexibility to work shifts when requiredEducation and QualificationsElectrical or Electronic Artisan or MillwrightRed Seal CertificateExperience and Preferred SkillsApproximately 5 years of experience in manufacturing or continuous productionStrong understanding of production processes and mechanical systemsERP system experience (MES, SAP, Oracle, EFI)Employment ConditionsWorking hours: Monday to Thursday, 08h00-17h00; Friday, 08h00-16h00Flexibility required to work additional hours when neededStandby duties for breakdowns and production line supportPermanent employment, subject to a three-month probation periodPackageBasic Salary: R40,000 per monthProvident Fund: 8.3% employer contribution, 7.5% employee contributionMedical Aid: 50% employer / 50% employee
