The role also entails supervising the maintenance of internal controls designed for reporting, safeguard corporate assets and integrity of fiscal systems. The successful incumbent will support informed decision making through sound technical IFRS and other regulatory requirements. Effective leadership of Senior Financial Mangers will ensure accurate and complete financial results are delivered.

Education:
Qualified CA(SA) essential

Job Experience & Skills Required:
  • Completed SAICA articles
  • 8 to 10 years' experience in a statutory reporting function essential (expert competence)
  • 6 to 7 years' team management essential (planning, managing and organizing resources)
  • Insurance industry experience essential
  • Strong IFRS17 exposure, or project experience
  • Group consolidation exposure advantageous
  • Attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills, written and verbal
  • Analytically inclined
  • Deadline driven
  • Effectively works under pressure
