About the Role
Our client is looking for a compassionate and skilled Rehabilitation Support Worker to join their remote-first team, serving clients in and around Paarl, Western Cape. This role focuses on providing remote guidance and support to individuals undergoing rehabilitation processes, assisting them in regaining independence and improving their quality of life. You will utilize digital communication tools to deliver support, monitor progress, and connect clients with necessary resources. This position is ideal for an individual dedicated to empowering others through virtual assistance, fostering recovery and well-being from a distance, and contributing to accessible rehabilitation services across the region, all while benefiting from the flexibility of remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote support and guidance to individuals engaged in rehabilitation programs (e.g., physical, occupational, mental health).
- Conduct virtual check-ins and monitoring sessions to track client progress and address challenges.
- Educate clients on rehabilitation techniques, self-management strategies, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Assist clients in accessing necessary resources, therapies, and community support services remotely.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records and progress notes using digital systems.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and rehabilitation teams to ensure coordinated care.
Requirements
- A relevant qualification or certification in healthcare support, social work, psychology, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a support role, preferably within rehabilitation or healthcare settings.
- Strong proficiency with digital communication platforms (video conferencing, messaging apps) and electronic record-keeping.
- Excellent empathy, communication, and motivational skills to support clients remotely.
- Ability to work independently, manage a caseload, and maintain professional boundaries.
- A genuine desire to help individuals achieve their rehabilitation goals.
