This is a great opportunity to join a stable and growing business with a strong footprint in the region.The Role: Area Export ManagerAs the Export Area Manager, you will play a critical role in growing market share across designated export territories. Your mission will be to drive sales, retain key clients, and identify new cross-border opportunities for the business. This is a strategic, customer-facing role where your ability to manage accounts, drive new business, and collaborate with internal teams will directly impact revenue growth and customer retention.Key ResponsibilitiesMinimum 5-8 years of experience in sales, exports, or business development in the automotive or manufacturing sectorDrive and achieve export sales targets by developing action plans aligned with company strategyIdentify new business opportunities and prepare compelling business cases for potential clientsManage customer accounts, build strong relationships, and ensure high retention through regular visits and performance reviewsMonitor customer buying patterns and support forecasting to optimise stock managementCollaborate with the finance team to ensure effective debt collection and risk managementOversee export documentation, credit applications, permits, and reporting accuracyEnsure compliance with internal governance, export regulations, and audit requirementsLiaise with warehousing and logistics to ensure timeous order fulfilmentMonitor and manage stakeholder expectations internally and externallySupport budgeting processes and cost-saving initiatives within your regionAbout You5+ years' experience in a sales/export/account management role, preferably in automotive, battery, or manufacturing sectorsProven cross-border sales experience into Southern African marketsStrong understanding of export documentation, credit terms, and customer account managementHighly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing reporting and administrative tasksCommercially savvy with strong negotiation and problem-solving skillsStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to build long-term stakeholder relationshipsProactive, target-driven, and able to operate both strategically and hands-onValid drivers license and willingness to travel regionally
