About the Role
Our client, a leading developer and construction company, is looking for a highly experienced Senior Construction Site Manager to lead major projects in Benoni, Gauteng. This role demands exceptional leadership and operational expertise to ensure the successful and timely completion of complex construction ventures. You will be responsible for overseeing all site activities, managing budgets, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring quality control, and upholding the strictest safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale projects from start to finish, with a deep understanding of construction methodologies and site logistics. This is a senior position offering significant responsibility and the opportunity to shape key developments within Benoni. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all aspects of construction site operations.
- Develop and implement detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Supervise and direct site staff, subcontractors, and tradespeople.
- Enforce all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality assurance checks.
- Manage site logistics, including material procurement and equipment deployment.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to report on project progress.
- Resolve site-related issues and conflicts promptly.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
Requirements
- Extensive experience (10+ years) as a Construction Site Manager or similar senior role.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large, complex construction projects.
- Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
- Excellent financial acumen and budget management skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., B.Sc. or B.Tech. in Construction Management or Engineering).
- Experience in the Gauteng region is essential.
- Must be willing to work on-site in Benoni.
- Ability to handle pressure and make critical decisions.
