About the Role
Our client is seeking a versatile individual to fill the dual role of Logistics Coordinator and Driver based in Durban . This position involves both coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments and performing deliveries as needed. You will play a key role in managing inventory, scheduling transportation, and ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse and delivery functions. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, while also being a competent and safe driver for local deliveries. This hybrid role offers a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the scheduling and dispatch of delivery vehicles for local and regional routes.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming goods.
- Prepare shipping documents, manifests, and delivery notes accurately.
- Perform local deliveries and pickups as required, ensuring timely and safe transport of goods in Durban .
- Communicate with suppliers, customers, and transport providers to resolve logistical issues.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and company vehicles.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Experience in logistics, warehouse management, or a similar role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and basic computer applications.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment .
- Must be physically fit for handling goods and operating a delivery vehicle.
