Automation Test Lead

We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Lead with a strong background in payments systems, specifically Swift and cross-border payments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the automation testing efforts for our payment platforms, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and efficient software delivery. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing robust automation frameworks, mentoring junior testers, and collaborating with development and business teams to meet project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated test frameworks for payment applications.
• Develop and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing of Swift and cross-border payment functionalities.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with the development team to resolve issues.
• Define and implement test strategies and best practices for automation testing within the payment's domain.
• Mentor and guide a team of automation testers, providing technical leadership and support.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Integrate automation tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in test automation and payments systems.
• Report on test progress, defect status, and automation coverage to project stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Automation Test Lead or Senior Automation Engineer.
• Extensive experience in test automation, including designing and implementing automation frameworks.
• Strong understanding and hands‑on experience with payments systems, particularly Swift and cross‑border payment processing.
• Proficiency in one or more automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, UFT, Test Complete, Postman).
• Strong programming skills in languages commonly used for automation (e.g., Java, Python, C#).
• Experience with API testing and automation.
• Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Knowledge of financial messaging standards beyond Swift.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Certifications in software testing or automation.
