About the Role
Our client, a dynamic e-commerce company, is offering an exciting internship opportunity for a Junior E-commerce Analyst based in Kimberley, Northern Cape. This is an on-site role at our Kimberley office, providing invaluable hands-on experience and mentorship. You will work closely with the marketing and data analytics teams to support data collection, analysis, and reporting efforts. This internship is designed to provide a solid foundation in e-commerce analytics, helping you develop skills in understanding customer behavior, campaign performance, and website optimization. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in collecting and organizing data from various e-commerce channels and platforms.
- Support the analysis of website traffic, user behavior, and conversion data using tools like Google Analytics.
- Help in generating regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing campaigns and website performance.
- Assist in identifying basic trends and patterns in customer data and sales performance.
- Support A/B testing initiatives by helping with data collection and initial analysis.
- Learn and apply basic data visualization techniques to present findings.
- Collaborate with team members on various analytical projects and tasks.
- Maintain data integrity and accuracy in all assigned tasks.
- Stay curious and eager to learn about e-commerce analytics and business intelligence.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a keen interest in data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas) is essential.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in an office environment in Kimberley.
- Basic understanding of e-commerce concepts is beneficial.
