About the Role
Our client is looking for a meticulous and dedicated Retail Inventory Specialist to join their team in Upington . This role is essential for maintaining accurate inventory records, optimizing stock levels, and minimizing discrepancies. You will be responsible for conducting regular inventory counts, managing stock movements, and implementing best practices for inventory control. The ideal candidate possesses strong attention to detail and a thorough understanding of inventory management systems to ensure product availability and reduce waste.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Monitor and manage stock levels, identifying and reporting discrepancies.
- Process inventory adjustments, transfers, and returns accurately within the system.
- Assist in receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, verifying quantities against purchase orders.
- Implement and maintain efficient inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and obsolescence.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Inventory Specialist or in a related inventory control role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and POS systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
