Lead Project Manager – Senior Metals Minerals Trade Finance Lead
Locations: Johannesburg, Sandton, Gauteng.
Our client is a distinguished organization specializing in financial services driving strategic projects within its financial division, supporting operations impacting Sandton, Gauteng.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of major financial projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Manage cross-functional teams comprising finance professionals, IT specialists, and external consultants.
- Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring efficient and cost‑effective delivery.
- Develop and implement robust risk management frameworks specific to financial projects.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and industry standards.
- Facilitate clear and concise communication with senior management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years focused on financial services.
- In-depth knowledge of financial systems, banking operations, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Basel III, IFRS).
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing large, complex projects and teams.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision‑making abilities.
- PMP or FRM certification is a strong asset.
