About the Role

Our client, a pioneering biopharmaceutical company at the forefront of oncology research, is actively seeking an accomplished Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join their Medical Affairs team. This hybrid role requires significant travel within the Upington, Northern Cape region and surrounding areas, combined with remote work capabilities. You will serve as a crucial scientific and clinical resource, engaging with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in oncology, presenting complex scientific data, and gathering insights to support our client's strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities

Establish and maintain scientific relationships with key oncology KOLs, investigators, and researchers within the assigned territory. Serve as a primary scientific resource for the oncology portfolio, providing in-depth information on products, clinical data, and therapeutic areas. Respond to unsolicited medical inquiries from healthcare professionals in a scientifically accurate and compliant manner. Gather and communicate critical clinical insights, unmet medical needs, and competitive intelligence from KOLs to internal Medical Affairs, R&D, and Commercial teams. Support the execution of clinical trial protocols, including site identification and investigator engagement. Present scientific data at local and regional medical conferences and meetings. Collaborate with internal teams to develop medical education materials and strategies. Ensure all activities are conducted in full compliance with relevant industry codes, regulations, and company policies. Contribute to the development of regional medical strategy and execute related activities. Identify potential research collaborations and investigator-initiated study opportunities.

Requirements

Advanced scientific degree (Ph.
D., Pharm.
D., M.
D., or equivalent) in a relevant life science or healthcare field. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) or in a similar role within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with a strong focus on oncology. Demonstrated expertise in oncology, including deep knowledge of current treatment paradigms, clinical trials, and scientific advancements. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key medical experts. Strong understanding of clinical research methodology and regulatory compliance in the pharmaceutical industry. Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory and work independently. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in relevant therapeutic areas and scientific literature.
