As part of the Body Shop Process Planning team, the Process Quality Engineers role is to provide support to production to ensure that critical elements of the Body shop Control plans are in place and adhered too.
Timely feedback to Body shop management on non-adherence to carry out the control element tasks to ensure a reliable product. Prevent negative impact on Plant Quality KPI and Flow out KPI as a result of production and their support functions not fulfilling the assigned roles and responsibilities with regards to the Control plan elements.

Duties:
  • Give input when required for SAB, process standards and work instructions to ensure they are clear, easy to understand and easy to apply, to ensure the process delivers the correct quality.
  • Confirm with Sectional Process engineer that all changes within processes through introduction of AEKOs, ECRs, MY, new models, new derivatives, can deliver the required quality.
  • With introduction of all changes ensure, breakpoint unit with the change point to be followed through by the sectional Process engineer and customer areas and all non-conformances to be recorded and reported back to relevant Sectional team.
  • Chair feedback meetings with Sectional Process engineers on all Flow out topics for corrective measures and follow up.
  • Collection of information on Flow out items and conduct specific and detailed feedback to quality gates in the Body shop process through sectional
  • Perform audits and issue report to Production management and supervision
  • Quality gate process feedback loop
  • SFM process for problem escalation
Qualifications:
  • National N Diploma, National Diploma or degree in Engineering/ Mechatronics/ Operations/ Production Management
Requirements:
  • Have knowledge of FMEA process and risk assessment
  • Prepared to travel overseas
  • Communicate at all levels
  • Proven analytical skills with an innovative approach to problem-solving
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Detailed knowledge of Body Shop processes and equipment
  • Sound technical knowledge with respect to the Production, Tooling, Facilities and Systems
