Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the daily activities of cleaning staff at designated venues in Cape Town.
• Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address any cleaning or maintenance issues.
• Train and mentor cleaning staff on proper techniques, safety procedures, and client service expectations.
• Manage staff schedules, attendance, and performance, providing constructive feedback and coaching.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting needs for replenishment.
• Act as a key point of contact for venue managers, addressing their cleaning-related needs and concerns promptly.
• Enforce company policies and procedures, including health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Assist in the implementation of new cleaning programs and protocols as required.
• Contribute to a positive and productive work environment for the cleaning team.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Cleaning Supervisor or in a similar leadership role, preferably in hospitality, event management, or contract cleaning.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the cleaning industry.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as operational needs dictate.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks when necessary and to conduct site inspections.
• Residing in or near Cape Town, Western Cape.
