  • Autoline experience ADVANTAGE
  • Minimum 5 years or more relevant working experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and cope under pressure and troubleshoot where necessary.
  • Trustworthy and honest with accuracy in execution
  • Own, reliable transport is essential.

Role Purpose
Responsible for the direct management of the Parts Department. Accountability for inbound and outbound freight, as well as adherence to legislative, safety, and organizational policies and procedures. Accomplish effective logistical oversight through strong leadership and decision-making skills. Exceed budgeted profit margins and increase market share through a well-developed Parts Team.

Responsibilities:
  • Achieve an acceptable market share, through maximizing sales of parts to trade and distribution
  • Plan, manage, and monitor the implementation of governance and compliance
  • Identify and manage risk and expose liabilities.
  • Plan and manage financial activities in line with approved policies
  • Manage, identify, and address customer needs providing a variety of related parts, products, and accessories, to enhance satisfaction
  • Implement people resource planning
  • Coordinate and monitor the sales and marketing activities of parts, products, and accessories for delivering against planned initiatives.
  • Ensuring all production orders are shipped to customers in a timely manner
  • Communicating all delays or variances in inbound/outbound freight to parties.
  • Update and send out an ETA listing to all regions weekly.
  • Maintaining strict control over inventory levels
  • Following up on all open orders and backorders
  • Ensuring parts information on Autoline is kept up to date and accurate.
  • Ensuring that the Autoline price file is updated when suppliers and OEMs adjust their pricing, or if the ROE goes above the factored rate.
  • Planning warehouse layout and space requirements to achieve full warehouse optimization.
  • Considering full implications of freight turnover, size, weight, and other factors when allocating warehouse space.
  • Managing annual returns to OEMs.
  • Managing creation of all SDRs and following up until credit note received.
  • Ensuring that the credit process is adhered to and approve all credit requests for the Parts Department.
  • Enforcing companys policies regarding security and safety
  • Supervising a team of warehouse employees.
  • Identify and resolve all issues in the department
  • Assisting with recruitment paperwork and processes for the department.
  • Investigating causes of lost or damaged shipments and other matters
  • Maintain close working relations and communication with the Service Management Team.
  • Customer visits when necessary
