About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Systems Engineer to join their team in Benoni . This role focuses on the integration, performance, and reliability of complex mechanical systems within larger projects. You will be responsible for analyzing system requirements, designing subsystems, and ensuring seamless integration with other engineering disciplines. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of system dynamics, thermodynamics, and material science, with a proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize performance in demanding environments. You will contribute to the development of advanced systems, ensuring they meet rigorous performance and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze system-level requirements and translate them into detailed mechanical design specifications.
- Design, integrate, and test mechanical subsystems, ensuring compatibility and performance within the overall system.
- Conduct performance analysis , simulations, and validation testing for mechanical systems.
- Identify and resolve complex mechanical issues related to system integration and operation.
- Collaborate with electrical, software, and controls engineers to ensure cohesive system development.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including schematics, test plans, and integration procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5-7 years of experience in mechanical systems design and integration.
- Proficiency in systems engineering principles and methodologies.
- Experience with simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, ANSYS) for system analysis.
- Strong knowledge of control systems, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
