Requirements:

  • Matric with relevant Commercial / Operations qualification

Duties:

  • Stock level Optimization: Ensure optimal stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing carrying costs between national company production sites and sales branches by generating Supply Chain Transfers
  • Replenishment Planning: Develop and execute plans to replenish inventory efficiently
  • Safety Stock Management: Determine and maintian appropriate safety stock levels to buffer against uncertainties
  • Supplier Management: Liaise with local and international suppliers/transport to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
  • Shipping and Transportation" Arrange for the transportation of goods, considering costs, speed and reliability
  • Import/Export Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulations and documentation requirements for imported goods
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with other departments, such as production, finance and customer service to ensure a cohesive suppy chain strategy
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, such as supplier reliability and geopolitical issues
  • Order Fulfilment: Ensure that customer/branch orders are fulfilled accurately and on time
  • Customer Communication: Maintain clear and proactive communication with customer/branches regarding order status and any potential issues
  • Issue Resolution: Quickly address and resolve any issues related to logistics and delivery
  • Reporting to include but not limited to: Inventory Levels, Shipping Schedules and Saving and Cost Reduction reports.
