About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic Installation and Maintenance Engineer to join their operations based in Durban . This role combines on-site work with remote oversight, offering a flexible hybrid model. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth installation and ongoing operational integrity of our client's sophisticated systems. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will collaborate with various teams to deliver successful installations and provide critical maintenance services, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency for our customers across KwaZulu-Natal, contributing to the company's reputation for reliability and high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute the installation of complex technical systems at client locations.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure system longevity and reliability.
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting for system malfunctions, both on-site and remotely.
- Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement for necessary replacements.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and end-users.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in installation, maintenance, and technical support .
- Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues related to hardware and software.
- Experience with project management and coordinating field operations is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of technical documentation and schematic diagrams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction.
