REQUIREMENTS
  • Matric with relevant qualification
  • Min 5+ years experience in a bookkeeping role
  • Experience in Xero advantageous.
  • Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
  • Excellent financial acumen, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Own transport

DUTIES
  • Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions for the company
  • Update and maintain the general ledger
  • Reconciliation of entries into the Xero accounting system
  • Debtors and Creditors functions
  • Maintain the trial balance
  • Account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions
  • Various SARS related administrative duties
  • Managing the VAT returns
  • Management of the banking, loading of payments etc
  • Monitor any variances from projected budget
  • Managing the filing system
  • General administration duties related to managing the finance sector
