Job OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Mechanical Draughtsman to support our engineering and production teams by producing accurate technical drawings and General Arrangement (GA) plans for mechanical components and ventilation systems. The ideal candidate must be proficient in AutoCAD (2D) and Autodesk Inventor (3D), with a solid understanding of mechanical drafting principles.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and revise detailed mechanical drawings, General Arrangements (GAs), and assembly plans using AutoCAD (2D) and Inventor (3D).Interpret design sketches, concepts, and specifications to create accurate technical documentation.Collaborate with engineers and workshop teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.Maintain organized job files, drawing documentation, and revision control in line with internal standards.Assist with the preparation of bills of materials (BOMs) and related production documents.Participate in design reviews and provide drafting support throughout the project lifecycle.Ensure drafting work is completed accurately and in line with project timelines.Minimum RequirementsNational Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Draughting, or a related discipline.Proficient in AutoCAD (2D) and Autodesk Inventor (3D) Inventor proficiency is a mandatory requirement.12 years experience in mechanical drafting (internship or practical training will be considered).Excellent attention to detail and technical drawing accuracy.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Exposure to ventilation systems, sheet metal design, or mining-related equipment is advantageous.
