Our client is looking for an experienced and dedicated EC&I Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical, control, and instrumentation systems in various industrial settings. Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implementation: Develop and implement electrical, control, and instrumentation systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting of EC&I systems to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.

  • System Optimization: Identify opportunities for system improvement, energy efficiency, and cost reduction, and execute necessary modifications.

  • Safety Compliance: Ensure that all EC&I systems meet safety standards and actively participate in safety protocols and initiatives.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records, documentation, and technical reports related to EC&I systems and projects.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and process engineers, to support projects and resolve technical issues.

  • Project Management: Manage EC&I projects from conception through to completion, including budgeting and resource allocation.

  • Training: Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and technicians as needed.

Key Skills:

  • Electrical Engineering: Proficiency in electrical engineering principles, including circuit design, power distribution, and electrical systems analysis.

  • Control Systems: Strong knowledge of control systems, PLC programming, and SCADA systems.

  • Instrumentation: Experience with instrumentation systems, including sensors, transmitters, and calibration procedures.

  • Safety Awareness: A commitment to safety and a deep understanding of safety protocols and regulations.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.

  • Project Management: Excellent project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.

  • Communication: Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing technologies and industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.

  • Minimum of five years experience as an EC&I Engineer in turnkey projects or a similar field (Water,. Waste or Energy projects).

  • ECSA Registration as a Professional Engineer will be advantageous.

  • Proven leadership and mentoring skills.

  • Communication and Organizational skills.

  • Verbal and written communication skills.

  • Computer Literacy (Google Suite or equivalent).
