We are seeking a skilled and experienced Auto Electrician to join our clients team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting electrical diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy-duty trucks of various brands. This role requires expertise in troubleshooting electrical systems, performing installations, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose electrical issues in heavy-duty trucks and perform necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Conduct electrical system inspections and identify faults or malfunctions.
  • Repair or replace wiring, starters, alternators, and lighting systems as needed.
  • Install electrical components and accessories according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Test electrical systems to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of all electrical repairs and services performed.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing electrical work.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
  • Provide assistance and guidance to junior technicians as needed.

Requirements:

  • Red Seal qualification as an Auto Electrician.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience working with heavy-duty trucks after obtaining the qualification.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical issues in heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and components in automotive applications.
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment at all times.

Salary: R40 000 monthly
