The successful candidate will assist the Paint Lab Technician and Technical Lab Technician with sample preparation and required testing, adhering to internal and customer specifications. This position operates on a day shift.Key Performance Areas:
  • Assist with sample preparation for both laboratories.
  • Support durability testing in the Technical Lab.
  • Help with material testing in the Technical Lab.
  • Assist with paint surface testing in the Paint Lab.
  • Contribute to routine testing and product audits.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science (or equivalent).
  • Laboratory training is advantageous.
Work Experience:
  • At least 5 years of experience in a factory environment.
  • A minimum of 3 years of laboratory testing experience is preferred.
Other Requirements:
  • Ability to operate laboratory testing equipment.
  • Strong understanding of the sampling process.
  • Knowledge of the wheel-making process.
  • Ability to interpret test methods.
  • Capacity to work under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Proactive attitude.
  • Honesty, integrity, and good communication skills.
  • Excellent attendance record.
  • Computer literacy (Excel, Word) is essential.
  • A valid drivers license is a plus.
