They are seeking a Project Accountant to take ownership of the financial lifecycle of complex, multi-million-rand projects.Youll work alongside project managers and senior leadership, ensuring that every financial element, from budgeting to reporting, aligns seamlessly with operational delivery. If you thrive in a fast-paced, project-driven environment and love adding strategic value through numbers, this is the role for you.Key Responsibilities:Manage the full financial function across multiple engineering projects, ensuring accurate cost tracking and margin analysis.Partner with project teams to develop, monitor, and report on budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.Perform detailed variance analysis and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.Oversee project billings, revenue recognition, WIP management, and cash flow forecasting.Ensure compliance with IFRS, company policies, and project-specific financial requirements.Prepare monthly project reports and present financial results to stakeholders and executives.Support internal and external audit processes and assist with continuous process improvements.Job Experience & Skills Required:BCom Accounting / Finance Degree (Honours or equivalent advantageous).35 years experience in a project accounting role, ideally within engineering, construction, or project-based industries.Strong understanding of project costing, contract accounting, and revenue recognition principles.Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or similar) highly beneficial.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills; comfortable partnering with both technical and non-financial teams.A proactive, analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.Apply now
