Job Description:Our client is seeking a millwright with automotive industry experience. Qualification and ExperienceMillwright Trade Test PreferredMinimum 3 years post apprenticeship millwright experience in automotive experienceExperience in hydraulic and pneumatic systemsSiemens TIA Portal and ABB robotics training advantageousAutomotive experience, overhead crane licence and forklift licence would be advantageousDuties and ResponsibilitiesAttend to electrical and mechanical breakdowns and repairs with minimal downtime to productionSupport manufacturing on all technical issues (electrical, automation and mechanical) by identifying problems and troubleshooting corrective actionsInstall, replace, refurbish or commission electrical machinery and equipmentFabrication of metal materials using powered machineryInvestigate equipment failures to diagnose faulty operations and to recommend remediesEnsure all maintenance work is undertaken to a high-quality standard with strict adherence to all health, safety, and legal requirementsSupport and lead continuous improvement activities at the plantStrict adherence to preventative maintenance schedules and activitiesUndertake special projects as required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to use Siemens TIA PortalAbility to program ABB robotic systemsUnderstanding of VSD’s and servo motorsKnowledge of high-pressure cutting systemsAdvanced problem-solving skillsTrouble shooting skillsBe able to read and understand electrical schematic drawingsBe able to weldComputer literacyAbility and willingness to work shiftsUnderstanding of health and safety practicesAbility to handle pressure and meet deadlinesBe able to work independently
