Software Testing Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review software requirements and design specifications to develop relevant test scenarios and test cases
  • Implement automated testing frameworks and tools to streamline the testing process and optimize test coverage
  • Conduct thorough testing, including functional, performance, regression, and integration testing, to validate software functionality and stability
  • Analyze test results, document identified bugs or issues, and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, system engineers, and end-users, to understand product requirements and test objectives
  • Maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test reports to document the testing process and provide traceability
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest software testing methodologies, tools, and industry best practices to continuously improve the testing approach
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of the company's software testing processes and standards

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on testing complex, mission-critical software systems
  • Proficiency in software testing methodologies, including black-box, white-box, and unit testing
  • Hands-on experience in developing and executing automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or JUnit
  • Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile/DevOps practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and troubleshoot software defects
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with software configuration management, version control, and issue tracking tools.
