Company and Job Description:Our client is a reputable manufacturing company within the electrical and building industry, known for quality products, strong operational processes and a collaborative culture. Based at their Johannesburg Central plant, the successful incumbent will play a key role in driving accurate costing, financial analysis and operational efficiency, with regular interaction on the factory floor. Youll influence critical decisions, ensure costing accuracy and help optimise manufacturing performance, all while being right at the centre of operations.Why You Should Work Here:Highly involved role with full visibility of production processesDynamic, fast-moving environment where your costing insights directly impact profitabilityWork closely with cross-functional teams including Production, Sales, Planning and ProcurementOpportunity to grow your technical, operational and costing expertiseKey Responsibilities:Determine and calculate overhead and labour costsMaintain and update standard costsPerform new product costingAnalyse standard vs actual cost variances and investigate discrepanciesReview production costs and recommend cost-effective solutionsAnalyse and report sales and profit margins for the production divisionReview, maintain and analyse BOMs and routingsManage and reconcile stock and WIPPrepare budgets, capex and investment proposals for production divisionCollaborate with Sales, Production, Planning and Procurement for costing inputsPrepare monthly management accounts and reportingJob Experience & Skills Required:BCom in Management AccountingCIMA qualification advantageousProven experience as a Cost Accountant or Cost AnalystManufacturing experience is essentialExperience with Sage X3 and CaseWareAdvanced MS ExcelStrong analytical and investigative abilityAbility to read technical drawings (advantageous)Hands-on, operational approachAbility to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively
