Ink Chemist/ Junior Enginee

Duties 

• Accountable for ink kitchen activities and storing of fresh ink
• Monitor and control maintenance costs
• Colour Management (Shade matching & minimize the press return ink)
• Keep a track and record of raw materials the mixed ink inventory.
• Ensure just in time availability of the mixed ink.
• Test and match ink shade, prepare and mix ink canes as per manufacturing and expiry dates
• Manage the supply of the ink.
• Maintain hygiene of the ink storeroom with compliance to health and safety policies and procedures
• Develop, improve and customize equipment products, formulas and analyse methods and processes for ink manufacturing.

Key Performance Indicators

• Perform all activities related to mixing of ink daily as per customer specification.
• Maintain W.I.P (Work In Progress) daily.
• Ensure just in time availability of the mixed ink.
• Ensure the supply of the mixed ink for production shift wise.
• Ensure the hygiene level of Ink Mixing store at the plant.

Qualifications

• B.Sc/M.Sc Diploma in Organic Chemistry
• Should have professional experience of 3-6 years in chemical mixing

Skills 

• Should have the knowledge of colours and related technology
• Flexible and adaptable
• Understanding of internal/external customer/supplier relationships.
• Polymer chemistry and fluid chemistry and characterization techniques
• Experience with fluid manufacturing
• Supplier management (order lab supplies and chemicals and always being aware of expiration dates)
• Technical problem solving
