About the RoleWe are seeking a Technical Draughtsman with 5+ years experience to join our engineering and design team in Pretoria West. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a critical role in translating process-engineering concepts into detailed CAD drawings and manufacturing documentation for mineral processing equipment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings of process equipment, components, and assemblies (e.g., cyclones, screening media, conveyors, mill linings)Interpret and convert process flow sheets, engineering sketches, and metallurgical design input into accurate engineering drawingsCollaborate closely with process engineers, metallurgists, and project managers throughout the product development lifecycleProduce bills of materials (BOMs), fabrication drawings, and assembly drawings for manufacturingRevise and update existing drawings based on engineering change requests (ECR) or field feedbackEnsure all drawings comply with Multotecs technical drawing standards, tolerances, and quality control proceduresSupport procurement and manufacturing teams with technical clarifications or design supportParticipate in design reviews, cross-functional projects, and continuous improvement initiativesQualifications, Skills & ExperienceDiploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Draughting, or equivalent5 or more years of proven experience as a Draughtsman in an engineering/manufacturing environment, ideally in mineral processing, mining, or heavy equipment sectorsStrong proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)Experience with engineering documentation (drawings, BOMs, revision control)Understanding of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, and assembly techniquesExcellent attention to detail, spatial reasoning, and problem-solving abilitiesGood communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional teamKnowledge of mining or mineral processing equipment is a strong advantageAbility to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects concurrentlyWhy Join our Client:Work for a globally respected leader in mineral processing engineering Be part of a high-performance, technically skilled team focused on innovation and efficiencyOpportunity to make a real impact on projects that optimize plant performance and lower cost per ton for major mining housesContinuous learning & growth: Multotec invests in its people and has a strong focus on R&D, skills development, and technical excellence Competitive total cost-to-company (CTC) compensation package
