Wind Farm Rigger

Job Summary:

Our client in Jefferys Bay are seeking a skilled and experienced Wind Farm Rigger to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently installing, maintaining, and repairing wind turbine components at the wind farms. The Wind Farm Rigger must have a strong understanding of rigging practices, safety protocols, and wind turbine operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform rigging operations to install, maintain, and repair wind turbine components, including blades, nacelles, and towers.
• Conduct safety inspections and assessments prior to rigging operations.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
• Operate and maintain rigging equipment, including cranes, hoists, and lifts.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Troubleshoot and resolve rigging issues as they arise.
• Maintain accurate records of rigging activities and maintenance tasks.
• Participate in training programs and workshops to stay current on industry best practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Matric.
• Rigger Trade Test.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working as a Rigger on Wind Farm.
• Strong understanding of rigging techniques and practices.
• Working knowledge of wind turbine components and operations.
• Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
