Job DescriptionPURPOSE OF THE JOBResponsible for creating and maintaining the companys websites for the various brands. Conceptualising and implementing creative ideas. SCOPETo manage and design all digital marketing requirements for the organization''s brand website and marketing requirementsEnsure brand websites and marketing email content are up to date, both front-end and back-endGenerate reports on website update content, and new page layout design with an understanding of various brand Corporate Identity, UX design andSEO. ResponsibilitiesWEB DESIGN Frontend Website design and developmentWebsite UX design and understandingContent maintenance of current websitesUpdating of current websiteMeeting with clients for digital marketing requirementsGenerating reports of websitesConceptualising creative ideas with clientsTesting and improving the design of the websiteMaintaining the appearance of websites by enforcing content standardsDesigning visual imagery for websites and ensuring that they are in line with branding for clientsWorking with different content management systemsCommunicating design ideas using user flows, process flows, site maps and wireframesIncorporating functionalities and features into websitesDesigning sample pages including colours and fontsPreparing design plans and presenting the website structureWorking with the IT department to maintain security updates TEAMWORK Build relationships and support all business units LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT Continuously develop product knowledge, attend industry events/seminars/conferences, and participate in supplier workshops, educationals, exhibitions and trade shows when necessaryKeep abreast of web design and communication branding trends and technology
RequirementsMatric / Grade 12 or equivalentA diploma or degree in design would be preferable3 Years of Web Design experienceProficient in WordPressHTML5 and CSS3 knowledge. JavaScript code writing is a bonusProficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Photoshop)UX design experienceUnderstanding and experience in CMS and Email marketing systemsKnowledge of web server hosting environments (CPANEL, Microsoft) would be an advantageMicrosoft Office including Word / Excel / PowerPoint and OutlookFTP knowledgeMust be comfortable working within different web systems and CMSStrong understanding of CI, brand consistency and managementKnowledge of how web servers are structured and updatesKnowledge of installing and maintaining SSL certificates on CPANEL and Windows Server CompetencyA mature approach when dealing with peopleExcellent planning, organizational and analytical skillsGood oral and written communication skillsIntegrity and HonestyGood command of written and spoken EnglishGood interpersonal skillsProject Management skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to work in a team and work independentlyAbility to multitask and meet deadlines in a deadline-driven environmentGood understanding of content management systemsGood understanding of search engine optimization principlesProficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issuesExcellent visual design skillsUp-to-date experience with international web protocols, standards, and technologiesCreative and open to new ideasAdaptable and willing to learn new techniques
