The position is based in Cape Town CBD, and we are recruiting for a dynamic, energetic Operations manager, who has experience within the Hospitality trade. The company is growing and you will be the 'hands-on" assistant to the owner. A fast-paced establishment that currently has a team of 18 staff that you will manage and inspire. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 07h00 - 17h00 - no evenings. Requirements:Matric with excellent communication skills - both written and verbalRelevant experience within Management in the hospitality spaceEnjoy being hands-on, working with a dynamic teamAbility to assist with developing new processes and controlsAbility to work in Cape Town city centreDuties:Oversee all aspects of catering for events, menu planning and ideas, budget management and staff supervision.Meet the clients to understand their needs, tailor menus to specific requirements and budgets, and arrange tastingsRecruit, train and manage catering staff, create work schedules and rotas, and ensure the team meets quality standardsDevelop and manage budgets, control costs, handle stock and track expensesPlan and execute all event logistics, including food preparation, transportation of equipment and supplies, and setup/teardown at event venuesEnsure all operations comply with food hygenie and health and safety regulations, and monitor the quality of food and serviceMeet with and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors, and negotiate contractsHandle administrative duties such as bookkeeping, client communication and managing inventorySkills:Strong leadership, communication and organizational skillsTeam PlayerKnowledge of food safety regulations and health standardsFinancial literacy and business acumenCustomer-focused mindsetAbility to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfactionIf this sounds like you, then we would like to hear from you.
