About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous Industrial Engineer focused on Operations Analysis to join their team in Polokwane . This role is vital for dissecting complex operational data, identifying performance trends, and providing actionable insights to drive efficiency and productivity. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing data-driven strategies to improve workflow, resource allocation, and overall operational performance. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail, contributing to the operational success of a key regional industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and areas for improvement.
- Develop statistical models and reports to track production efficiency, identify bottlenecks, and forecast future needs.
- Design and implement methodologies for performance measurement and control within production and operational settings.
- Collaborate with operations managers to develop and execute strategic plans for enhanced productivity and cost reduction.
- Utilize simulation and modeling tools to test different operational scenarios and optimize resource allocation.
- Conduct root cause analysis for operational issues and recommend effective solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related analytical field.
- 3-5 years of experience in operations analysis , performance improvement, or industrial engineering.
- Proficiency in data analysis software and techniques, including statistical modeling and data visualization (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau).
- Experience with process mapping and simulation software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for reporting findings to management.
