A technology management services consulting firm based in Johannesburg is looking for various Software Test Analysts (Manual & Automation) on a fixed term contract basis to provide testing analysis services in the financial services sector. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of mobile, web, and USSD applications through manual testing processes and working with industry-standard tools like Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities:

  • Must have at least 18 months year''s Testing or QA experience within different SDLC models, performing manual functional, web and mobile testing, following recognized QA processes and producing QA artefacts e.g. requirements, acceptance criteria, test scenarios, test cases, defects and reports, QA docs of different types e.g. Lessons learned, handover docs, test plans.
  • Assist in designing and executing manual test cases for mobile, web, and USSD applications.
  • Perform functional, regression, and smoke testing based on project requirements.
  • Collaborate with developers and senior testers to identify, log, and track defects using Jira.
  • Maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results, in Jira, Confluence, HP ALM (Quality Center)
  • Execute test scripts and document results using test management tools like TestRail, qTest

Requirements:

  • IT-related qualification (degree or diploma).
  • Basic understanding of software testing principles.
  • Familiarity with test management tools such as Jira, Xray, Confluence, TestRail and HP ALM (Quality Center) (training will be provided).
  • ISTQB Foundation certification (preferred).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and improve.

Job Title: Intermediate Test Analyst

  • He/She must have Manual testing experience to support testing efforts across mobile, web, and USSD platforms using tools like Jira, Xray, and Confluence, Responsible for creation, design and execution of test strategies, including writing test plans, test cases and test scenarios

Responsibilities:

  • Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive manual test cases for mobile, web, and USSD applications.
  • Conduct functional, usability, regression, and exploratory testing across multiple platforms.
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure defects are reported and tracked effectively using Jira.
  • Document test cases, results, and reports in Confluence, Xray, and HP ALM (Quality Center).
  • Participate in test planning and test estimation meetings.
  • Execute test cases and document results using tools like TestRail, qTest
  • Assist in guiding junior testers in understanding test processes and tools.
  • Identify and expose all issues and associated risks

Requirements:

  • IT-related qualification (degree or diploma).
  • ISTQB Foundation Level Certification
  • 3+ years of experience in manual testing for mobile, web, and USSD applications.
  • Proficiency with test management tools such as Jira, Xray, Confluence, TestRail, HP ALM (Quality Center), qTest
  • ISTQB certification (preferred).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Job Title: Senior Test Analyst

Were seeking a Senior Manual Tester to lead our manual testing efforts, mentor junior testers, and ensure the delivery of high-quality mobile, web, and USSD applications using industry-standard tools like Jira, Xray, Confluence, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Will have worked on QA projects for at least 5 years involving the detailed analysis of IT, business, data and technical processes / flows and functionality in complex IT applications and across integrated systems. Examples of API, SE initiatives / projects could include IT process improvement and standardization, transitioning to new SDLC models, QA technical compliance and auditing, QA consulting and the accompanying training and change enablement activities.
  • Lead the design, execution, and review of manual test cases for mobile, web, and USSD applications.
  • Drive functional, system, regression, and exploratory testing efforts.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to manage defect life cycles using Jira and HP ALM (Quality Center).
  • Own and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and defect reports in Xray, Confluence, and qTest.
  • Perform risk-based testing and contribute to test strategy development.
  • Mentor junior and intermediate testers, providing guidance on best practices and tools.
  • Execute and document test scripts using tools like TestRail, qTest
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in manual testing tools and methodologies.

Requirements:

  • IT-related qualification (degree or diploma).
  • 5+ years of experience in manual testing, with a focus on mobile, web, and USSD applications.
  • Strong experience with test management tools such as Jira, Xray, Confluence, HP ALM (Quality Center), TestRail, and qTest.
  • ISTQB Advanced certification (preferred).
  • Proven leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.

Intermediate Hybrid Tester

Were looking for an experienced Intermediate Hybrid Tester with skills in both manual and automation testing. This role will focus on testing mobile, web, and USSD applications, ensuring high-quality software delivery using both automated and manual testing processes. Familiarity with industry-standard tools such as Selenium, Appium, Jira, Confluence, and TestRail is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute both manual and automated test cases for mobile, web, and USSD applications.
  • Create and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Appium, and other test automation frameworks.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across multiple platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and identify defects.
  • Log, track, and manage bugs using Jira and create comprehensive test documentation in Confluence.
  • Execute manual test scripts and document results in TestRail, qTest.
  • Continuously enhance automated testing frameworks and optimize test coverage.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives as part of the Agile team.
  • Provide test status reports and feedback to stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • IT-related qualification (degree or diploma).
  • 3+ years of experience in both manual and automation testing.
  • Mandatory: ISTQB CTFL certification
  • Added Advantage: ISTQB Agile Tester extension certification
  • Added Advantage: 1x QA Industry-relevant technical certification
  • Strong experience in automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, and JUnit/TestNG.
