An opportunity is available for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join my client in the ICT sector. You will be responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and providing critical financial insights. You are someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and demonstrate strong attention to detail. Responsibilities:

  • Manage monthly payroll processes
  • Capture and process payments to suppliers
  • Document financial transactions by entering account information
  • Capture and reconcile debtors and creditors accounts
  • Perform bank account reconciliations
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Complete and submit all regulatory returns and manage all SARS-related matters
  • Ensure compliance with standards, procedures, and applicable legislations
  • Prepare monthly financial reports
  • Perform cash flow forecasting and control
  • Reconcile inter-company loan accounts
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual budget
  • Prepare Annual Financial Statements
  • Control the asset register

Requirements:

  • Financial Accounting Honours degree, BComm Accounting or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the accounting field
  • Knowledge of relevant financial legislation, accounting, and auditing standards
  • Knowledge of Value Added Tax (VAT) and other tax legislative requirements
  • Knowledge of SimplePay (advantageous)
  • Proficiency in the Xero Accounting Package
