About the Role
Our client, a leading recruitment consultancy, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Recruitment Consultant to join their dynamic team in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. This role is pivotal in driving the success of the company by identifying, attracting, and placing top talent within the technology sector across South Africa. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the IT landscape, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in both client management and candidate sourcing. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their recruitment needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Source, screen, and interview candidates, assessing their skills, experience, and cultural fit for client roles.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from initial contact to offer negotiation and placement.
- Actively engage in business development activities to expand the client base and identify new opportunities.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market intelligence, and competitor activities to provide informed advice to clients and candidates.
- Achieve and exceed personal and team placement targets.
- Utilize various recruitment tools and platforms to optimize candidate search and engagement.
- Mentor and support junior members of the recruitment team.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in recruitment, preferably with a focus on the technology sector.
- Proven ability to build and maintain a strong network of candidates and clients.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding recruitment KPIs.
- A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software.
- A proactive approach to business development and a results-oriented mindset.
- Strong understanding of the South African job market, particularly within Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.
