Electrical Draughtsman

Engineering firm in Sandton looking to recruit an experienced, Electrical Draughtsman with HV experience. The person must have a valid drivers license and own reliable transport.

Main job function

• Should have Clear concept of EHV equipment, structures and Layouts.
• Should be capable for preparing General arrangement drawings.
• Hands on experience on preparation of Electrical Single Line Diagram for HV / EHV Sub-stations, LT system etc.
• Preparation of Electrical layouts plan & Section for HV/ EHV Sub-stations.
• Preparation of Erection Key Diagram, earthing layout, Lightening Protection Layout.
• Preparation of foundation plan & Cable trench layout.
• Cable schedule and quantity estimation.
• Preparation of Panel arrangement layout.
• Preparation of Lighting layout, Conduit Layout, SLDs. BOM.

Qualifications

Grade 12 and relevant qualification

Minimum 4 Years working experience with main focus on HV projects.

Sound working knowledge of packages like, Retic Master, PowerOffice, Bentley MicroStation, DigSilent, MS Projects, Dialux etc.

Experience/Criteria

Must have background or extensive knowledge of at least one or more of their core focus areas, being:

a. HV Substation Design (132/88 kV etc.)

b. HV Overhead Lines Design (132/88 kV etc.)

c. MV and LV Reticulations Design

d. Renewable / Alternative Energy
