Key Responsibilities:

  • Database Design and Implementation: Design and manage database systems that meet the specialized needs of our users, ensuring high availability and quality .

  • Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security measures to protect data, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

  • Performance Management: Monitor and manage database performance, optimizing for speed and efficiency

  • Data Backup and Recovery: Design and implement strategies for database backup, archiving, and recovery to prevent data loss 

  • Incident Management: Respond to and manage database incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss 

  • Collaboration: Work closely with data architects and IT specialists to set up, maintain, and monitor data networks 

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in database administration or a related field.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL and other database technologies such as MS SQL Server, MySQL, and others

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot database issues effectively 

  • Business Acumen: Understanding of business information systems and their integration with database management.
