A SAIPA article clerk is challenging and varied, and the successful candidate will need to be highly analytical, detail-oriented and able to work effectively under pressure.Responsibilities:Assisting with financial reporting and work closely with senior accountants or auditors to prepare financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.Conducting audits and being involved in auditing various client accounts and ensuring that the financial statements presented are in line with IFRS for SMEBookkeeping and data capturing and processing financial transactions in the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the dataTaxation - assisting with tax compliance and completing tax returnsConducting research and provide insights on financial and accounting mattersClient management- interact with clients, responding to queries, and building relationships with them Staying up-to-date with industry trends and developments, including changes in accounting standards and tax lawsAd hoc tasks - assist with various ad hoc tasks, such as project management, business advisory services, and other administrative tasks as required. Requirements and Skills:Completed B.Com/B.Compt degree SAIPA / Accounting FieldExcellent verbal and written communication skills in Afrikaans and EnglishPro-active and willing to take responsibilityAnalytical with ability to work well under pressureDiligent, deadline driven and focusedAdministratively inclined and entrepreneurially mindedGood theoretical and technical background in Accounting, Auditing and TaxWilling, interested and able to continue technical growth to become an industry leader in any of these fieldsKeen interest in Financial Year End duties such as preparing Annual Financial Statements for clientsMust be highly motivated and able to work independently and as part of a teamValid drivers license and own transport is essentialLiving arrangements in close proximity to office preferredContactable references especially with regards to technical background (i.e. lectures or similar)Clear ITC and criminal record (and approval for us to do checks) If you are a passionate and experienced individual who is looking for a challenging and rewarding career in the fintech and online accounting space please apply if you match the above criteria.
