Job Functions

  • Manage Supplementary Feeds shift
  • Coordinate and Control the Production & Manufacturing Process.
  • Prioritize and organize production activities and requirements.
  • Provide guidance and training in relation to the Production Process.
  • Schedule activities based on priorities and output standards.
  • Maintaining and recommending reviews of Plant and Safe Work Procedures.
  • Train subordinates on Plant and Safe Work Procedures.
  • Proactively maintain a safe work environment through task observations, plant inspections, reporting and investigating near hits.
  • Making alternative options available to resolve Production Constraints.
  • Monitoring, communicating and correcting deviations.
  • Investigating and resolving Productivity, Quality, Safety, and Equipment failure issues to ensure optimum efficiency is maintained, and that Output, Cost, Timelines and Quality Objectives are achieved.

Qualifications, Experience, Qualities & Skills

  • Grade 12, a National Diploma in Production/ Operations Management or an Equivalent Qualification in Engineering (Essential)
  • 3 Years experience or more in a Production environment, with a minimum of 2 years at supervisory capacity (Essential)
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt. (Advantageous)
  • Must have Good Communication and Interpersonal Skills, Knowledge of People Management. Analytical thinker with Good Problem-Solving Skills.
  • Confident and Self-Motivated. Ability to Plan, Organize and work Under Pressure. Pay Attention to Detail. Ability to Work with Minimum Supervision and to make and take decisions.
