The team operates with discipline, precision, and a strong mentorship culture, offering growth for professionals who take pride in technical excellence and accountability.The Role: Construction Health and Safety ConsultantThis role exists to support the delivery of CHS Agent services on complex construction projects, working under the guidance of a Pr. CHSA. You will be responsible for overseeing safety compliance, conducting site inspections, preparing documentation, and collaborating closely with contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders. The position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong communication in Afrikaans, and the ability to operate confidently within high-risk environments.Key ResponsibilitiesMinimum 5 years of experience in construction health and safety, with proven progression in responsibilitiesPerform CHS Agent duties under the supervision of a Pr. CHSAConduct site inspections, risk assessments, and compliance auditsDevelop, review, and implement project-specific safety documentation and plansCoordinate with contractors, site teams, and project professionals on safety requirementsInvestigate incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actionsEnsure adherence to the OHS Act, relevant regulations, and applicable labour and environmental legislationProvide training, mentoring, and safety guidance to site personnelMaintain accurate records, reports, and administrative documentationAbout You5+ years of demonstrated construction health and safety experienceSACPCMP registration: Can.CHSM, CHSM, or Can.CHSA (essential)Qualifications aligned to SACPCMP requirements; diploma/degree in CHS, OHS, Safety Management, or related field preferredFully proficient in Afrikaans (read, write, speak) and EnglishStrong understanding of the OHS Act, COIDA, BCEA, and environmental legislationSkilled in incident investigation, auditing, compliance management, and CHS documentationConfident working on complex or high-risk construction projectsStrong communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement abilitiesHigh attention to detail and exceptional organisational skillsPhysically fit and able to work at heights and in challenging site conditionsProficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)Own reliable transport and excellent overall healthSelf-motivated, disciplined, and able to work under pressureWilling to learn, develop, and contribute within a highly professional teamPreference for male candidates due to high-risk site requirements
