- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions, ensuring proper change is given and receipts are issued.
- Assist customers with product inquiries and direct them to the appropriate pharmacy staff if needed.
- Maintain an organized and clean checkout area, including stocking and restocking shelves near the register.
- Ensure pricing accuracy and manage refunds or exchanges according to store policies.
- Assist in counting daily cash receipts and reconciling them with sales records.
- Follow all pharmacy policies and procedures regarding the sale of restricted products.
- Handle customer complaints or issues and escalate to the appropriate staff when necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to assist customers.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in transactions and product sales.
- Trustworthiness and reliability, especially when handling money.
- Prior experience as a cashier or in customer service (preferred).
- Willingness to adhere to all pharmacy regulations and confidentiality policies.
