Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory, including sourcing high-quality ingredients and ensuring proper stock levels.
  • Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment and adhere to food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise pastry staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff and departments to ensure seamless service and integration with overall menu offerings.
  • Monitor and control food costs, ensuring efficient use of ingredients and minimizing waste.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and continuously seek opportunities to innovate and enhance dessert offerings.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, ideally within a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training.
  • Exceptional skills in pastry and dessert preparation with a creative flair for elegant and innovative presentations.
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient functionality, and food safety standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities and the capability to manage and inspire a team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
