About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Full-Stack Developer to join their globally distributed and remote-first engineering team, servicing clients from Tembisa . This role is crucial for developing and maintaining scalable, high-performance web applications and services. You will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, from architecture and design to implementation and deployment. We are looking for a proactive problem-solver who is passionate about writing clean, efficient code and contributing to a collaborative, innovative engineering culture. This is an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects and leverage your expertise to drive technical excellence in a fully remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy robust backend services and APIs using modern frameworks and languages (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java).
- Build responsive and user-friendly front-end interfaces using frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Manage and optimize relational and non-relational databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
- Implement automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Collaborate effectively with product managers, designers, and other engineers in a virtual environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the full stack, ensuring system reliability and scalability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack development, with a proven track record of building complex web applications.
- Strong proficiency in both front-end (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, modern frameworks) and back-end technologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of database design, performance tuning, and data modeling.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills, especially in remote team settings.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
