Learning Designer and Technologist

ENVIRONMENT:A dynamic Online Learning Platform seeks to fill the role of a Learning Designer and Technologist who will collaborate with stakeholders in the design and development of learning content aligned with curriculum and sound instructional design principles and pedagogy. The successful incumbent will require 2 -3 years of experience in learning design and using learning technology with the proven ability to translate a deep understanding of adult learning theory, design principles, and learning technology into practical solutions. You must also have proficiency in the following tools: Microsoft 360, Articulate 360 (Rise, Storyline), Adobe Suite (Illustrator), Descript, Canva Pro, Envato Elements, Grammarly and able to use OpenAI. DUTIES:Learning Design -Create engaging and effective online learning experiences by collaborating with faculty and subject matter experts to ensure that content adheres to educational standards.Develop course/module structures, learning strategies and assessments that align with the unique needs of students.Write, review and revise educational materials to ensure clarity and engagement.Refine multimedia elements, ensuring these components enhance the overall course/module design.Support the continuous improvement of design and writing processes, contributing to team development and innovation.Create infographics, multimedia content for the student journey, and technology adoption for the Institution.Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring courses/modules are delivered on time and meet quality standards.Research pedagogy, instructional design, and subject matter to inform course. Learning Technology -Build the learning experiences according to defined Articulate Rise, Storyline and LearnDash and style guide specifications.Utilise learning technology tools to create multimedia elements such as video, audio, and more.Optimise the course for maximum functionality across devices, systems and browsers.Participate in quality assurance reviews and functionality and user testing.Maintain communication with the LMS Administrator and IT Support to advance alignment, standards, and innovation and develop long-term solutions.Experiment with and remain current in new and emerging technologies. REQUIREMENTS:Minimum 2 -3 years of experience in learning design and using learning technology.Proven ability to translate a deep understanding of adult learning theory, design principles, and learning technology into practical solutions.Demonstrated ability to work with subject matter experts successfully.Demonstrated ability to work on your own and as a member of a collaborative team.Experience designing, developing, and implementing learning solutions using formal and informal elements.QA (Deliver final content with a low error count).Proven experience with authoring tools, creating assets and interactive learning content.Technical Tools required Microsoft 360Articulate 360 (Rise, Storyline)Adobe Suite (Illustrator)DescriptCanva ProEnvato ElementsGrammarlyProficient using OpenAI ATTRIBUTES:To succeed in this role, the candidate must possess high levels of creativity and innovation, learning and development capabilities, organisation skills, and a flair for detail.
