A leading international smart metering solutions provider is seeking a Metering Technician to join their field services team in Cape Town. This is a remote, field-based position suited to a trustworthy, self-motivated Technician who takes ownership of their work and enjoys being on the road.Youll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting smart metering systems across residential, commercial, and industrial sites.Non-Negotiable Requirements:Trade qualification or recognised Electrician CertificationMinimum 23 years experience in metering installation, electrical maintenance, or a similar fieldStrong fault-finding and troubleshooting abilitySound knowledge of metering systems, wiring, and relevant electrical regulationsValid drivers licence and own reliable vehicle (essential)Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionJob Experience & Skills Required:Install, test, and configure electricity, water, and gas metersDiagnose and repair meter faults and communication issuesPerform scheduled maintenance and ensure meter accuracyCapture and verify readings for precise data reportingProvide customer support and basic technical guidanceAdhere to all safety standards when working with electrical and water systemsFor more engineering jobs, please visit: ð
