Our client is looking to employ Sales-reps at both their Cape Town and Johannesburg branch.

 

Duties:

  • The sales reps will be required to go out and see clients, email clients and telephonically contact clients on a daily basis.
  • In addition to existing clients that we want the sales rep to service they will be required to find new clients in different sectors that we have not previously sold to or have not sold to in the last 5 years.
  • The sales reps will be required to draw up a sales plan as to how they are going to meet their sales budget for the year and report back to management on a monthly basis on how they are actually performing compared to what they had planned.
  • Find mutually beneficial agreements and close deals effectively.
  • Sales reps must follow a customer-focused approach which involves understanding their customer’s requirements and providing solutions.
  • Building a network of contacts with potential clients, industry professionals, and other valuable contacts.

 

 

The perfects candidate will possess the following attributes;

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Own car and valid driver’s licence:
  • Outgoing, willing and eager: The sales rep must be an outgoing person, who is eager and willing to make contact with new and existing clients and not be scared of rejection.
  • The ability to actively listen to customers.
  • In-depth knowledge of the products we sell – there will be on the job training and assistance.
  • Adaptable: The sales landscape can change rapidly so sales reps need to be able to adjust their approach to different customers, industries, and market conditions.
  • Rejection is a common part of sales and sales reps must be able to bounce back from setbacks, stay motivated, and maintain a positive outlook.
  • Effective time management is essential for juggling multiple leads, tasks, and priorities. The sales rep must be able to manage their time efficiently to maximize productivity.
  • Problem-Solving Skills:
  • Confidence in themselves and the product they are selling is important as it helps instil trust in customers and makes the sales reps more persuasive.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Networking Skills
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with sales tools, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and other relevant technologies such as email, MS Word etc.
  • The sales landscape is dynamic and we need sales reps that are open to learning about new products, industries, and sales techniques to ensure that we stay relevant and adaptable.
  • Integrity: Building trust is essential in sales and the sales rep must act with honesty and integrity at all times.
