Requirements:
  • Must have an N3 Diesel Mechanic.
  • Must have a Red Seal or Trade Test Certificate.
  • Must have 5 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic
  • Must know Yellow Plant Equipment and Powerstar Trucks.
  • Must have hands-on experience with Bell ADT
  • Must have A valid code 14 driver's license with PDP

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on diesel-powered earthmoving equipment and Powerstar Trucks.
  • Conduct scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on a variety of heavy machinery.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
  • Ensure that all repairs and maintenance work is completed to the highest standards and in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and equipment condition.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to optimize workflow and minimize downtime.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in machinery technology

Skills and Competencies:
  • Proven experience working with earth-moving equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, if required.
  • Must have your tools to be able to do what is expected of as earth-moving mechanic
