Key qualifications and experience required for the Financial Accountant:

  • Bachelor's degreein relevant subject matter (i.e., finance, accounting, business-related)

  • Strong knowledge and experience working with finance, tax and cash managementas well ascomplianceand trade finance
  • International experience / global exposure is highly preferred
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills

Key duties of the Financial Accountant:

  • Manage Debtor's Reconciliation and Debtor's Cycle including invoicing of clients and review of age analysis
  • Liaise with creditors/suppliers as required and carry out monthly creditors/suppliers' reconciliation
  • Submit weekly cash flow report, which includes all bank balances and sales figures
  • Reconcile the VAT figures to the ledger account and income statements
  • Prepare standing journals every month i.e. interest on all loan accounts, depreciation, and revaluation journals
  • Prepare management accounts and manage all expenses and income accounts
  • Be involved in the creation of the annual budget, obtain information from management
