Planner/Expeditor

Key Responsibilities:Material Planning:Analyse production schedules and inventory levels to determine material requirements.Forecast demand and manage inventory to prevent shortages or overstock situations.Production Coordination:Collaborate with production teams to develop and adjust schedules based on capacity and customer demands.Ensure that all production activities are aligned with company goals and customer requirements.Problem Solving:Identify and resolve issues in the production process, minimizing downtime and delays.Implement corrective actions and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.Communication:Serve as a liaison between different departments, including production, procurement, drawing office and sales, to facilitate smooth operations.Provide regular updates to management regarding production status, inventory levels, and any potential issues.Data Analysis:Utilize planning software and tools to analyze production data, identify trends, and make informed decisions. Prepare reports and presentations for management to assist in strategic planning.Qualifications:Proven experience in planning and expediting within the steel service industry or a similar environment.Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and skills.Proficiency in planning softwares.Understanding of steel processing and fabrication is a plus.Working Conditions:Must be able to work in a warehouse environment , including exposure to machinery and equipment.Must be a proactive and hands-on professional with a passion for optimizing operations in the steel service industry.
